Summer is in full swing and I’m enjoying the warmth and long summer evenings together with my family. I also wanted to take the opportunity to further my card making skills a bit so I signed up for an online card class. The focus is color and I’m finding it a real challenge…in a good way. I’m most comfortable making monochromatic cards so I am really glad that I have the chance to stretch myself. Here’s the colors used this week:
Yes, that’s five colors!! Not including any neutrals. Here’s how I put it together.
I found that coloring an image with Copic markers is a good way to incorporate many colors into a card. I stuck to the five colors adding only brown for the hair (I thought of it as a neutral) and skin tones for the face. Here’s a close up.
I am pleased with how it turned out. And most of all, it was really, really fun try something new!!
